Hi, y’all! This has been a summer of travel and spending time with family and friends.
Now that I’m back home, I find myself getting out the big whiteboard *The Big White*I bought a while back but never used. It was stored in the pantry.
What? You don’t store a 3’ by 4’ whiteboard in your pantry? Hmm…I’ll have to check into that sometime.
Optimistically, The Big White will free my radically overtaxed brain from all the files, schedules, ideas, obligations, plans and strategies it’s carrying around like an anguished brief case ready to split and spill its gutz all over my new carpet.
That wouldn’t be cool.
First, I must write down my Hari-Kari-ish schedule for rewrites of Canyon of Doom, the second book in the Silki, the Girl of Many Scarves series. I shall work like a beaver on steroids to get that novel finished and ready for market in the next months.
You can take that promissory note to the bank!
Then there’s the stuff I’ve had to let go a little the last several weeks – like blogging and finishing edits on a friend’s manuscript. A super important manuscript, too. It’s about how the author overcame about a ka-trillion obstacles to become the wonderful man he is today!
I’ll be getting right on that->->->
What else? Oh yeah. Gotta scribble in my eating-plan details. Lean protein, veges, fruit…all planned into cute little suppers for hubby and me. No more brownies with ice cream and fudge sauce and whipped cream topped with a shiny red maraschino cherry for this woman!
Back to Weight Watchers Double Fudge Bars – one a day – and is that such a bad thing?
Can’t say that it is, actually.
Oh…excuse me. I was “penciling” in my exercise schedule starting this week. Hubby says we’re going to the gym five mornings a week.
O-kaaayyyy then!
*Tapping finger on monitor as I think* Oh yes. Of course, there’s the very real possibility that we may move to New Mexico sometime between now and in the next twelve months, which will surely mean tons of jotting and dotting on The Big White.
Details. Details. Details.
Now that I have a few basics down, *and thank you so much for keeping me company!* I can add the other copious duties later: author-platform
building, library visits, school visits, running a household, cooking, laundry, scheduling appointments, running to and fro.
Fro and to, too, you know?
Until next time, I’m sending a big Texas smack to ya!
So what’s brewing in your world? Have you found summer challenging when it comes to keeping up your normal busy life schedule? Where do you find release for all those ideas and obligations jumping around in your mind? In a day journal? On a whiteboard? Sticky tabs? Forearm tattoos?
Share with us, won’t you? We’d love to hear all about it!

Time to keep the whiteboard where you can always see it! People shouldn’t leave it in the closet – get it out where you can use it right away
Don’t want to let those good ideas go to waste…
